Cozy place with clean rooms. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't have to provide my own wood for the outdoor fireplace.
Highlands Inn Lodge is definitely my #1 choice home away from home when vacationing
No sign of any pets previously. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The owners & workers were all very nice & extremely kind. The lobby had a lot of character & history. As far as the room itself goes, it was very much a standard hotel room. The beds & pillows were a little too hard for my liking but that's just me. The bathroom seemed as though it had been looked past in cleaning as a bar of used soap sat on the sinks soapdish & there was something on the hairdryer & along the sink wall. I did not call the front desk to report this which was bad on my part.
As far as price compares to the quality of the room, it is hard to judge since there was an event in town. The rooms required a three night stay & all hotels/motels in the area had raised their prices for this event. If we put that aside, I feel the price was more than the value of what I feel the room was worth.
My parents stayed overnight & liked it. I just met them there in the morning. Looked nice.
Extremely homey and welcoming upon arrival I was even offered freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!! In the morning a complimentary breakfast was offered, and I made waffles from scratch (which were absolutely delicious). Overall we felt very welcomed and comfortavle, a relaxing nights rest, to say the least.
I loved I was able to bring my pet!
The View, the town, the atmosphere then going back to your room to relax after a fun filled day!
