There’s also two display counters of some delicious looking desserts.

Delicious cinnamon rolls

I can’t speak for the service when this little shop is busy. There were three other tables and ours when we ate here, so four total. There was the chef, and the woman behind the counter. The service wasn’t fast food speedy, but quite frankly, why would you want that? She was attentive, caring, friendly, and took into consideration what our needs were. We had ordered bagels in advance and were picking them up along with eating breakfast. The chef had sliced, toasted, and buttered them. The kind woman working behind the counter remembered me from last year, and knew that I didn’t want my bagels that way. She had it fixed and let me know why there was a delay. Now that is amazing service! (They only make so many bagels a day, so if you’re looking for some truly fresh and delicious bagels, call and order them)

There was a selection of three different breakfast specials, and an a la cart menu. So plenty of options. The specials were: eggs grits or potatoes and toast; cream cheese stuffed French toast; or blueberry or banana pancakes. The a la cart menu had 10-15 of the typical break items you’d expect to see.

Food was decent, though very basic for breakfast. I saw as we were leaving that there were specials, which our server did not share with us. I was really turned off by all our beverages being served in styrofoam cups. As a sit-down restaurant, mugs should be offered. Additionally, the place seemed very understaffed and we waited nearly 25 minutes after finishing our meal to get our check. We consistently had to track down our server to ask for things and she was not apologetic or responsive. Would try again for a to-go order, but will not return for a family meal.

No service so we left. Pastries looked good but we sat down and after waiting 15 minutes and no one came to our table, we left. We watched the server visit with another table, stand at the counter and lay her head on the counter. When she started cleaning the table beside our booth we asked her how long it would be before we had a server. She stated they were understaffed. I suggested she should help customers who have been waiting 15 mins rather than bus a table, especially since no one was waiting to be seated. We asked to speak to the manager. She finally came back and said Brian was too busy to talk to us....so we left. Amazing that this place stays in business!

Extremely slow service. Oily food. Overpriced. $18 for a slice of tomato pie, coffee and cup of soup.

Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, our coffee was served in mugs.
